Discoid roaches are one of our favorite feeder insects at Indigo Reptile Co. We also breed them ourselves right in house! 

They are protein-rich, nutrient-dense, and relatively moderate in fat, making them an excellent staple feeder for many insect-eating and omnivorous reptiles. Their active movement also encourages natural hunting behavior.

Discoid roaches can be especially valuable when they are properly fed and gut-loaded, because the nutrition they receive can contribute to the nutritional quality of the feeder itself.
